Well I finally bit the bullet and purchased a 13 Optima hybrid. Got $8500 for my 07 Rondo LX with 55,000 miles on it. Lease amount is $230 a month, I put nothing down. So far I'm absolutely loving the hybrid. It works so seamlessly and is so unbelievably quiet and comfortable compared to the Rondo. Eat the only problem I'm having is UVO never understands what I'm saying. I've put almost 500 miles on it already and am averaging 47.7 MPG, which is about at least double what the Rondo was getting. It looks like I'm probably going to save almost half the payment in gas every month, so I think it was a really great purchase. Surprisingly, it's cheaper to insure than the Rondo as well. I will keep everyone updated as I rack up miles!

Best luck. That's great mileage on a brand new car. What's the power like?
Comparable to say, the 2.2 GDI 200HP car?
And I'm assuming it doesn't pull left or right??

how long is the lease?

if you do not mind asking - why do you have 5 cars?

The power is great. The only thing is, there is a 1-2 second delay in throttle response when you really get on it, but once it kicks in, the torque from the electric motor throws you back in your seat. It is so much more linear and smooth than a gas engine. The lease is 36 months. I have 5 cars, because I'm the only one in my family with outstanding credit -the other three drivers make their payments to me. It may be a little bit off-the-mark, but it means lower payments for everyone. I'm not the primary driver of all 5 cars, just the Sedonas - but they are all financed, titled and registered in my name - therefore, my cars. I do drive each of them quite frequently, too.

I have just today gone with my 08 rondo to the dealership, considering a 2014 rondo (I am in Canada) when the sticker on the Optima Hybrid grabbed me by the .....well you know wheres.
The sticker claims 58mpg hwy and 52 mpg city (checked the web site and thats what Kia is claiming)
You would have thought after being caught with bogus milage claims last year they would have learned.....l would by it tonite if they could prove those figures claimed to me.
Your 47 mpg is still very attractive though...is it improving or maintaining those numbers?

all sticker mileage are for comparison purposes only, as they say "your mileage could vary", there is no guarantee you will get what are done under laboratory conditions, unless you drive that way. If you get within 10 - 20% of the laboratory figures you are doing well.
58 mpg imperial = 48 mpg US
52 mpg imperial = 43 mpg US

EPA tests:
36 US mpg = 43 mpg imperial
40 US mpg = 48 mpg imperial

I have been maintaining about 38-39 MPG around town, and a solid 43-44 MPG on the highway. Best tank so far was 55.7 MPG.
