I'm hoping someone may have an answer. I drive a2011 Sportage 2.0 diesel and I tow a caravan with a weight of 1490kg. When the van is hitched the rear wheels of the car are in the arches.the front of the van is far too low with jockey wheel 2.5 inches from the floor. KIA have replaced the rear springs and then have swapped the complete rear suspension but all to no avail.it appears that the rear springs are just too soft for the job of towing..the car currently has 56k on the clock and is still on original rear tyres so no chance of wrong profile tyres been fitted.any help gladly received.

What's the tongue weight of your trailer? I notice that with much over 100 pounds the rear starts to sag and headlights shine into the eyes of oncoming traffic.

Sportage may have the power to tow, but not really the suspension.

Your first post suggested it sat low without any weight on it - has this been fixed ?

You mentioned a nose weight of 85Kg - I am heavier than this and if I sit in my boot the suspension hardly drops ?

I am interested as I will at some point in future tow a (light) car trailer and maybe a boat.

Hi.noise weight measured today at 77 kg and the car sits approx 1.5 inch louder than others of same spec. Any further help please
