At the end of the day its your vehicle. You paid for a fully functional vehicle.
Be comfortable and go ahead and idle it to keep cool, and less humid.
Your not going to ruin anything or damage anything.
Vehicles are designed to operate in many different conditions and weather.
Enjoy!
Worry more about washing your hands and not touching your face!

Plan a weekly 70 mph run down the freeway - even if it's just 15-20 miles one way, a few exits down, and back. Get the engine oil up to operating temperature to burn off the gas and water dilution. Unless your weekly use does this anyway, 30-40 minutes at full operating temperature.

I've had the car for a month and have driven a bit over 2000 miles so far. 75% of my miles are highway miles. The rest is around town. Hopefully this means I should be ok
