Hello, My name is Nick and I'm interested in buying a 2012 Kia Optima EX Turbo. I see it comes with 17 inch tires, but SX turbo comes with 18's. Why? Will the tires wear out faster? I'm planning on switching out originals with Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires. Thank you.

It's purely for cosmetic purposes. The overall tyre diameter is about the same because 18s are lower profile. Many people prefer a medium profile tyre anyhow, since it's more robust and less subject to road & curb damage. Michelins will be good.
