Symptoms Oof Timing Belt/water Pump?

Hubby hears some type of noise in the engine...told him I learned on here that Sportys just make a racket.
He seems to think its the water pump,but the temp is still in normal range.

uh... some type of noise really doesn't describe a sound lol. Could ya try to be more specific? Is it rattling? Is it grinding? Is it squealing? Where is it coming from? Symptoms? CEL? :shades:
