Hello all

Cleaning the MAF sensors has stopped my car generating loads of fault codes and its running a lot better, however I know that I really need to replace the MAF.
I'm really struggling to find a sensibly priced replacement. Anyone know where I can get hold of one ?

2008 Magentis 2.7 V6 with 5 pin plug on MAF

Thanks

Stu

Greetings,

You could try PM'ing Cobra259 here on the forum - he's helped out many folks w/ OEM Kia parts ..

Kia Forum - View Profile: cobra259

(I would also suggest including any part #'s printed on the MAF body when PM'ing..)

Regards,
GottaCruise

Good calll Rich, Rockauto can supply at £78 including delivery. The part looks the same, however the only thing I'm unsure about is if the US / UK cars varied in specificaiton in any way.
Can't imaging Mr Kia would put a unique MAF in UK cars - But you never know ?

Can anyone advise please
Thanks

Hi
I've tried searching online for a UK or US parts catalogue from Kia and cant find one. Nothing on tech-info either.
There's got to be enough cleverness on here to come up with an answer :p

Incidentally, I've also tried my local Kia dealer in Gloucester who, over a 3 hour period, failed to answer the phone twice, and on the third attempt I got an answerphone so left a message that went unanswered. So, I've emailed the General Manager of the dealership to see if he can be bothered to reply - Great service

Just had an email from the GM promising me a call on Wednesday after he's found out what went wrong - Now thats impressive given that today and tomorrow are bank holidays.
I'll accept a discount on the part as compensation;)

An update for you - The Kia Dealers still havent contacted me, despite a promise from the General Manager to do so.

So, I'm naming and shaming them as Wessex Kia, Gloucester.
Amazes me how some people stay in business if they treat customers in this way. Thank God I never had to go to them with a real issue :mad:

I've been able to go to various dealers here in the states. The parts people were helpful with parts questions. Is the local dealer close by? Maybe a road trip is in order since they wont answer the phone/email?

Hi Rich,
There's no shortage of Kia dealers so I'll just go to another one. Really annoyes me that we're meant to be in a recession so you think that companies would grab every bit of business possible.

Now, the really strange thing is that since I cleaned the MAF I havent had any error codes come back so maybe I dont need to replace after all.
