Hey, one thing to note about the Kia matte paint, I have washed my Kia twice with regular soap at the hand car wash and it is perfect. It’s really not as sensitive as people think. Just don’t use wax, drive thru or push hard when drying. Also you really don’t need to wash it that often. Chemical Guys has some sealant for this paint and it is great. Use that with your full wash afterwards. Then for maintenance, you can just wipe the car down with a damp or dry towel once a week. It will look like you washed it and you don’t have to fight water spots. Way easier maintenance.I just came here wanting to understand:
1) What it is?
2) Does anyone else have this issue?
3) What should be done to fix it?
4) Hoping to hear I could correct it myself.
5) Otherwise wanted to know what the dealer would do to fix it.
I also was hoping to avoid the dealer because I've had them screw things up before (like put a gash in my steering wheel when they were fixing something else) - not to mention sometimes for these types of issues they won't work on it on the weekends, which means I have to take off of work to bring the car in.
I still don't understand how this just now appeared after 2 months and like at least 6 hand washes. It's perfectly smooth, not tacky at all. I think I'm going to hand wash this spot again and see what happens. If it is still there I guess I'll have to take it in.
You will not listen to any suggestion so why do you keep going on about it.And you actually trust perfect strangers on an Internet forum like this to "assure" you?...
