We have a 2006 spectra5 with standard radio and cd unit. The speakers all still sound fine, but with no bluetooth or way to hook up a phone for hands free talking I was thinking about upgrading the unit.

Do any of you that have upgraded speakers or head units know what the factory speakers are rated at as to Ohms?

If anyone knows a link to a good post on the stock unit specs that would be good as well.

Thanks in advance

Car speakers are usually 4 Ohm or sometimes 6 Ohm per speaker. Lower impedance will normally allow for louder sound and greater one for less distortion.
Very good place to start your search would be Crutchfield, they have tons of options, very knowledgeable staff, step by step instructions etc. Call them to get an idea or two.
