Just had my second MOT done (£25 at Halfords Autocentre). Car is 4yrs old and has done around 57000 miles.

It passed ok but they indicated a couple of advisory problems, slight wear in the front drop link joints and in the inner steering rack joints.

I took the car to my local dealer to have this confirmed and have the items replaced under warranty, which they did after a few days after ordering in the parts. (They also washed and valeted it while they had it plus a gave me a loan car for the day so that was a result)

A couple of days later the dealer phoned me to say that Kia had sent them a new steering rack for my car, under warranty, as they thought this would be a better option than replacing the joints!

Anyway I took the car back for it to be fitted (and another loan car for the day).

It seems Kia really do take their warranty seriously, I was happy enough just having the worn joints replaced.

That's right Dubster it's Hidsons in Rainham.

I have always found them excellent when it comes to warranty work.
