My steering wheel makes a knocking noise when I turn the wheel to the left or right. The sound only happens as you begin the turn, and only happens only once. until you turn the wheel back the other way (then only makes the sound once, again). I believe this is the same problem experienced by the 2015 Optima. Anybody else had this problem?

Its the rack and pinion system which includes the tie rod ends. Being that loud its definitely gone if its knocking when you turn the wheel left/right to the point of resistance and a bit more each way. Common internal failure for some reason. I caught minne early when it was faint and got a new one installed. They're not cheap.
