I was wondering if anyone has experienced this. I have a 6.5, 2.7l optima. In the spring of last year I experienced two times where my car wouldn't start after sitting in my work parking lot. It was cold. I turn the key, everything powers up, but there is no ignition. There are no sounds (starter motor, alternator, fuel pump) it simple would not start. After turning the key from off to on a couple times it started. That was it until Dec. when it happened again except it took a lot longer to start. I brought it to KIA, they tested it and said it was a bad cell in the battery and I had them replace it. (it was time for a new battery). Unfortunately, the problem happened again two days later. I have a scan gauge attached to the car, there are no error codes or even pending error codes. To me it appears to be electrical like a bad ground, bad board, etc. KIA claimed not to find any other problems other than the battery. Any suggestions?
