Kia Sportage 2011, 1.7 d 2wd.

Car today was parked on a slope, the near side was higher by a foot. after returning to car parked 3 hours there was a reasonable amount of oil which had run down the road down to the drivers door half the width of the car. it was gear box oil,

Upon investigation it was coming from back of gear box, from some sort of bolt thingy held in with two m8 bolts, inside the bolt thingy was what looks/feels like a nylon adjuster it has a slot in. no idea what this is, but definitely the source of the leak. moved car to the flat and the oil leak stopped.

Any ideas on how to fix would be very useful please.

Thankyou all.

Please post a photo of the back of gear box, of the sort of bolt thingy.
That will help a lot!
