Hi to everyone,
I am charged with the upkeep on my girlfriend's 2001 Kia Sportage EX 4X4. She bought this thing off the new car dealer's lot with about 3000 miles on the clock.
I drive it from time to time and must say I am impressed with the build quality, fit and finish, paint job, electrical system, dashboard controls, etc. It reminds me of the Japanese cars from the 1970's when they were pulling out all the stops to achieve major market share in North America.
The ride quality, low final drive ratio, and sharp turning radius remind me of a 1978 International Scout I owned back in the mid-90's.
All in all, the Sportage 4X4 is a fun ride.
Doug
