Hello friends,
Spectra 2008 EX

I want you to help me make the handbrake adjustment, looking for information in this same forum and other places I have found that the brake should have a range between "5-7 clicks" mine has 8-9 clicks and it is evident in parking lots incline that is not braking as it should.

I have investigated a little more and I have found that I must uncover the center console, I have managed to see the screw from the top, but I have not been able to disassemble it since my console has a compartment to hold drinks from the rear passengers and in the diagram that I found no It showed how to disassemble said compartment, in the diagram it did not have it.

Can you guide me?

Thanks in advance!

well, I have ventured to do it and I have achieved it by doing these steps:
  • remove the center console, 3 screws on each side (beginning, middle and end)
  • lift the console enough to allow the tool to enter.
  • With a hub of greater length (longer) of 12mm I have started to tighten the nut.
  • according to other guidelines the handbrake should be between 5-7 "clicks", mine was at 9.

I hope someone helps this process that I do.
Cheers!
