My first post but I needed to give back information that is sorely lacking on these newer models. I am performing a budget upgrade to the stock stereo. Information on the speaker size and door removal is all over the place and I needed to save some others the trouble. I can confirm the stock speaker sits in a housing and is a true 6-1/2" speaker but sits in a holder. I will follow up with more pictures if I can. I have yet to receive my new 6.5's so I will see how I mount them. I might do a YouTube presentation as I am documenting all the wire runs, etc. I am an engineer type that needs exact info to same money and time.
