Had a flat tire the first week I got my 2021 Sorento SX. The tire inflation and repair kit did work. But I am wondering if anyone has purchased and installed the apparatus for a doughnut style spare tire, which there is room for underneath the car?

Mine came with a Spare donut which is located underneath the car. Where your repair kit is, is where the jack and tools are for that on mine. I am not sure why some got kits and some spares, I have an SX Prestige Xline so maybe certain trims have the tires and vice-versa. I thought it was just certain countries like Canada had the kits but I see you are in OH.
Yes, say a video which showed the spare tire and it's location. I can see where it is suppose to go and the holes in the trunk are there. I am sure there is a kit.

registered to reply. SX does not come with a spare. I also learned the hard way. Bought a full size spare from tirerack.com. (look for cheap wheels on clearance) I am patiently waiting for the spare tire hoist to become available for purchase, or one to show up in a junk yard i can pick. I don't venture far from home so it is not a major problem, yet

Don't know the numbers. I went back to the dealer and roasted the salesman for not telling me it had no spare. Even though the tv ads show Sorentos climbing mountains and jumping gullies, they argued that the pump and fix-a-flat was sufficient for a full blowout. I argued longer and got the spare tire and storage kit.

I guess. Here in Canada, most new vehicles do not have spare tire kit. So it is either I get it on my own. Sucka!
The lady's X1 has factory run flats, no spare. I'm not even sure if it's got anything other than a cheap scissor lift

The part you seek is 62800-R5100. It is the same for our Hyundai Cousins. They are having the same problems with higher end trims and no spare. I talked to a local dealer this morning, and according to him, these parts won't be available for another 4-6 weeks. It can be found online for under $150. Good luck

When I got my 2021 SX, I had no idea about the lack of spare. The inflator kit may be useful in some situations, but I'd prefer a spare. So, I looked at all the info here (thanks edward25392), plus
went to the nearest Kia dealer and looked underneath a couple Sorentos (2 were all they had- they usually have 25+ on the lot) to double-check tire size, and began to assemble all the needed components. I found a brand new tire, wheel, and jack on ebay. I bought the carrier online from wholesalekiaparts.com. I tested the carrier, jack, and spare to make sure it would all work when needed. It wasn't hard to do, and cost about $500. It's a cryin' shame to have to spend that money on a new $40,000 car, but it is what it is
BTW, someone mentioned how awful the angle of the car was with the compact spare mounted; judge for yourself from the pics...it certainly looks goofy, but not that bad. It's about 2" shorter than the full-size 20" wheel/ tire. In an emergency, it'd be a whole lot better nothing

I don't have any way of knowing if the jack and tools are precisely what is supplied for the 2021 Sorento, but it was listed as such, and works perfectly.
