I want to install a full sized spare in my 06 Rio. I have an old tire already but I'm trying to find a wheel. The part number on my wheels is 52910 1G100 (14x5 1/2) and I've found ones on ebay that are 52910 1G050 (14x5). They say they are for a 06 Rio also.

Will a 14x5 work in place of a 14x5 1/2? Would I be ok to purchase this wheel?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Assuming you only want the wheel as an emergency spare and rarely use it on the car, the 1/2 inch narrower wheel rim won't be a worry. If your tyre is something like a 185/65-14 or 175/65-14, you will be OK on either rim size.

The tire size is 175/65-14. I want it as a full size spare so if I get another flat tire, I don't have to rush out the next day to get a new tire. I have a matched set of 185/65-14 installed right now.

Sounds good. Are the 185/65-14 tyres on alloy rims? Just make sure that the wheel nuts from the alloys will be suitable for the steel spare. You might need to carry some spare wheel nuts.
