Hi everyone. I am from the Phils and the Sorento was recently introduced here. I am considering buying one (other option is Ford Escape). Since no one back here knows the car, I have been surfing the net for inputs to help me make a firm decision. I have read from US reviews that the ride is jittery and the steering is loose. It seems unstable on curves. Do you experience foregoing problems and is it bothersome? Would the loose steering mean that you need to hold the steering wheel tighter, otherwise, it might lead the car to another direction, compromising safety?

The Sorento is a great car. Ive had mine two months now and yes the ride is a little firm but it's not too bad and i'm sure it will soften up over time. The reviews you had read about the loose steering is reffering to the progresive feel depending on the speed you are driving ie when parking the car at low speed, the steering is light as a feather (even my wife can park it!!) and at about 10 mph the steering becomes as firm as any other car. As for cornering my old Landrover Freelander used to roll round bends that one of my butt cheeks would lift off the seat :crying: but the Sorento with i'ts firmer suspension is far more comfortable. Hope this has been some help in you making your decision get the Sorento and enjot it.
