Brakes seemed to be seizing on. Pedal was rock solid. Then it cleared.
Mechanic changed the fluid. Helped for a bit.
Then he inspected every brake and the cylinder. No problems.
It has done once more but not as bad.
Anyone any ideas?

when you say the brakes seemed to be seizing did they actually seize or was the brake peddle just rock solid ? if so it could be the brake power booster or master cylinder .

This +1.

I had a Taurus wagon that kept locking the Left front caliper. I went round and round with it. Finally I replaced the MC and it fixed it. The MC was not allowing the fluid to return and kept pressure on the caliper.
