Over the weekend, my wife and I purchased a 2014 Sorento EX. The dealership set us up an account with MyUVO. I downloaded the app to my HTC Droid/DNA and it said that I need to check the compatibility.

I logged into MyUVO.com and looked at the cell phone compatability chart and it appears all the smartphones are old. Has anybody had any luck with the HTC DNA phones?

I get the same warning my Samsung Galaxy Note II, it still seems to work otherwise (at least it transfers my Vehicle diagnostics to my phone. Also adding poi's and parking reminder seems to work.

I am not sure what jukebox is, but I was able to play music from my phone, iPod and I also just put a flash drive with music on it. I was pleasently shocked it played music from the flash drive plugged into the USB.

(I have the 2014 KIA Sorento EX w/ MyUVO (No Navigation))

MyUVO has a built-in +- 1 Gb hard drive that you can down load music. Once you have downloaded the music it shows up as 'Jukebox'. Put the USB in the USB slot and it will "read the files, etc..." and then the music usually starts playing.. There are some menu items that you need to look for that allows you to select songs (or Select All) and Copy the files from the USB to MYUVO hard drive (remember your limited to 1 Gb)

** NOTE-
There are Previous Post on this site that address a couple of Common Issues; (1) How your USB stick is formatted with the proper 'File System' (FAT32, exFAT, NTFS), and (2) the Format of the Music (MP3, wav, wma, etc.). I have a hand full of USB sticks and tried a couple of them to see if they would work and finally found 'one' that worked. I even tried re-formatting a couple of the USB's with no luck. Before you spend much time copying music I would recommend testing a few songs first and make sure your USB is compatible and that your music is compatible.

PennStateMtnMan, seems like your USB & Music are formatted correctly!

What I want to know is, Has anyone been able to get the 'SMS Text Messaging' to work the MyUVO system, I have tested a Samsung Galaxy 4 (a newer phone for the summer of 2013), hooked it up through Bluetooth and can not receive Text Messages. Anyone have luck with Text Messages?

I don't know what level Sorento you have bought. Guessing might be the SX or SXL as there is not a "jukebox" per se, but there is on board storage. However it is almost useless as can only save one song at a time to it and why bother when have options such a USB with memory stick or blue tooth connection t music on a smart phone.

Based on myUVO website, I already addressed this question here and even if the function is listed as part of UVO no phone seemed to be compatible with this function.

Since UVO system is Windows made, maybe Windows phone could work.

FWIW....my Iphone seems to work fine with the UVO and my account. They sync up no problem and when I run a "vehicle diagnostics" test, the phone and the account get the info with no issues.

I did notice that I had to have the (Myuvo) app open for it to work. I don't know if that was an issue for you.

Take care,
Pete

I have about 100 songs stored on my Jukebox, which were downloaded from a USB stick.

Hi all,

Dear 2014 Sorento canadian owners,

Did you have problem to register to myuvo website with a "Canadian" NIV?

I just got my 2014 Sorento SX 2014 last friday but I'm still unable to register, with my Srento's serial number to Myuvo.com.
I Always get: NIV is Invalid

Any ideas?

Thank you!
