I need to know what the torque should be for the nut on the end of the CV shaft for an automatic transmission. WOuld someone please look and see what the torque is for the axle nut that holds the bug to the CV joint? Thanks!

To Derrick, are you asking for one torque spec or two? The way it is worded is confusing. Are you just asking for one torque; the main nut that is on the end of the axle? Thet don't have Chilton's Foreign Auto Manual at this library but I will get you the torque. speedster1

To Derrick: If you are inquiring about the torque spec for the hub lock nut (the one that is staked) the torque is between 155-206 ft. lbs. Good Luck and keep that axle from turning! speedster1

To Kiarichie: I think that you are thinking of the lug nuts that hold the wheel on(there are four- torque @70 ft. lbs.). He is talking about the single nut on the end of each axle(two total-one on each side). speedster1
