Just replaced for the third time! It's only the left tail light and now it's more frequent. Last one was this January '23.

Gloves work, but I have to use rubber gloves to get a good grip, even though I've done this three times. That thing does NOT want to come out. It's obviously a bad socket, but it does work right for a while. Right side has never failed.

Guess I'm lucky. Drivers side twice last 2 years. Passenger once 3 years ago. Never had to worry about previous cars, rav4 over 9 years, maxima over 7 years owned. The fact that it is so hard to remove is what ticks me off.
a little sil-glyde on the bayonets help.

i had both my tail light bulbs fail on me last winter, not at the same time. I did buy two bulbs and was going to replace the second one but at the time it was insanely cold outside and I just wanted to have both sides functioning again. About a month later I was forced to do it as the second one had failed but at least the weather was much better.

but otherwise i've never had any issues with the bulbs anywhere.

Man, it's so annoyingly painful to see you guys going thru this so regularly. Glad mine tail lights are LEDs! :p

Hope mine won't ever go out because otherwise I'm selling the car. I'm sure replacing that whole assembly will cost me an arm and a leg.

Your top of the line model probably has mostly LED lights?

my SX has mostly LEDs, even the interior lights. However my turn signals look like regular bulbs.Anyway, I never had to replace any bulbs so far as well.

Really? So I wonder if the top of the line Sorentos are just better built or better designed?

And whoever's responsible for these top of the line V6 Sorentos probably have moved on to build Tellurides?

Until now. Again, would not come out. This time, we used the packing tape method because gloves didn't get it. Tape worked great, (just getting a good length piece from being stuck to it's roll was a nightmare).
