As the title says my 2004 Sedona 2.9 CRDi will not rev past 1800RPM and with a fair but of smoke.

The Story
I did a trip to Benidorm and Marbella and the number 4 injector started to chuff ie. the injector was leaking at the copper sealing washer, so 1000mile later at home I took the car for MOT and it passed (with no advisory's) so the engine was running well enough for the smoke test to pass.
I then removed the said injector to find that it was a just loose clamp bolt (I have done over 50000 miles and never checked the injector clamp) so to be on the safe side I had the injector serviced as it must have been very hot, the guy said it was knackered.
£120 later the newly refurbished one went in a second hand injector harness went in as well as it was totally burnt away.

Now I have been a mechanic all my working life I'm now at an age where I don't work (Age has its privileges), so I'm not a DIY man so please be detailed in any answers you can give.
I have an OBD11 tester but that is showing no fault codes, though it is brand new and I'm not completely sure if it's right.

Question 1.
Would an Mass Air Sensor give me this symptom

Question 2.
Would the fact that the injector isn't yet coded to the ECU cause this, I don't think it would.

Question 3.
Anyone whatto buy a 2004 Sedona (Very rough) with a long MOT and two new tyres.:laugh::laugh:

Question 1.

A: It may but why not test it with a LIVE DATA SCANNER? Not a code reader!

Question 2.
Would the fact that the injector isn't yet coded to the ECU cause this, I don't think it would.

A: The injector does not require coding, it is pulse with fired.. Again, with the LDS, check the fuel trims, ST/LT

So this morning I went to do the live test and nothing ' Function Unsupported' so I tried other tests all unsupported.
I'm thinking at this point that the test kit I bought was duff so I put it on the wife's car everything test out as it should.

I'm thinking I may have cooked the ECU somehow :whistling:
