Dear Community, my beloved Kia Rio is bringing me to tears!
A month or so ago the seatbelt chime started going off infrequently. This happened regardless of whether the passenger was or wasnt in the car. Considering that I, as well as my passengers, always wear seatbelts, it was quite annoying. Over the past two days however, my car decided to chime on a permanent basis (yes, constant beeping!) despite me driving on my own (nobody sitting in a passenger seat) and both driver's and passenger's seatblet being buckled up. The continuous noise is driving me insane and making it difficult to focus on the road. I manage to see a mechanic today, but he was not able to diagnose the fault (did not run diagnostics, only "had a look"). Is there a way to disable to chime? Please help!

Just a shot in the dark but did you check to see if any connectors under the set have come loose?
