Hi all
love my sorento done 13000 miles with a split turbo hose at 1000 miles (air) and gear box recall,(put in for servive and advised nearly ready for collection just fitting gear box.. that was the first I new it was been replaced)
Any way the problem ive had from day one is if i select a gear before I put on my belt the bonger will sound for about two minutes even when belt is inserted (light on dash confirms belt is inserted ) You could say just put your belt on however I find it easier not to have my belt on to reverse up my drive.
Does anyone else have this problem, dealer says its normal but surely bonger should stop when belt is inserted otherwise might as well leave it off as it cancells then after same time !
Generally love the car but hate jeremy clarkson ......anyone who watched top gear in uk will know why..
Great on road , off road, and tows a dream. better than my Freelander by a mile..

The bing bong should cancel when you insert your belt.

Ignore clarkson, notice they didn;t test any of the 'good' one,s 4x4's coupes etc...

Could not agree more!! The Sorento is a superb car, I have had 5 Troopers since 1991 and this one does everything it says on the carton. We've had some interesting issues with our two Sorentos, I'll post them when I can. Many thanks to you Murphwiz for your time and trouble with this forum and a Happy New Year to all.
