In NJ, the dealers are closed on Sundays.
I passed a car lot, and saw a Cadenza.
I stopped to look at it.
The pricing on the window sticker was exactly what I
expected based on price information released elsewhere.

BUT
I also saw an additional window sticker that
had an extra $3,000 added to the window sticker - an UP-CHARGE.

The car I saw was the 'base' model.

It did -not- have the wheels shown in this picture.

its probably the Luxury package which is $3000, the 19" wheels do not come with this package (they come as part of the Tech package which is another $3000). Did that vehicle you saw have the panoramic sunroof?

the extra money was not the Luxury package -- that would have been listed on the standard sticker.

The additional sticker boldly stated "market adjustment"

There was no sunroof on the car.

I guess I won't be able to get a Tech package for $37,000 out the door lol...As much as I want this car I might have to settle for a Honda Accord Touring model.. those are about 34,000 fully loaded. Only thing is they are a bit smaller and they don't have is cooled seats and heated steering wheel.

The luxury model is pretty much loaded out. The tech package just adds lane departure, adaptive cruise control and electronic parking brake. None of which are necessities IMHO. If you look at the luxury model, you'll see the tech package isn't a big deal. I've gotten quotes at $33501 for a luxury package Cadenza. So you should be able to get fairly close to that with incentives and discounts. The luxury model is the premium package in my last post.

the Optima is more of a comparison to the Accord not the Cadenza.

Conwelpic is correct! Once you test drive them both you'll understand the Cadenza is a higher end car in all of the above categories. The Accord wasn't built to compete with the Cadenza and can't IMO.
