Ripped out stock intake

Dumb, Dumb, Dumb... The 'factory' NEVER squeezes out every bit... EVER! Even on the newest Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaros, etc... you can always make more power than stock with intake, exhaust, and a dyno tune. I race motorcycles and my stock 186mph ninja is now close to 200 with these mods and it's smoother and gets better mpg. I know a guy who went 212 on the stock internals motor, just external mods.

Don't assume anymore john doe... men have been making their cars faster for many decades... where have you been?
what i meant was that with the stock components they have squeezed out all the horsepower they can .

simply adding a intake wont get you much power ,more then likely it will lean out the fuel mix .
it takes air and fuel to make more power .

dont believe everything you see on the net .who posts those dyno charts? the manufacturer of said part ,why? because they want to sell it to you . they can say whatever they want and they will because they know you will feed into it and buy .

i still say ,want a faster car ,buy one .
you bought a econo box car ,not a racer .

it just amazes me that people think they can get more power from a engine by simply removing parts, adding a air intake kit ,a chip,........et,ect....
dont you think the factory already squeezed out every bit they could while still maintaining good fuel economy and driveability?

theres some good videos on youtube that debunk all these cold air intake gains ,k&n filter gains, chip mods ......

most of the time your losing horsepower ,but as long as your getting that throaty sound out the muffler i guess your happy .

if you want a faster car BUY ONE . thats how you get one ...lol...
