I just got a 2001 Kia Rio and I want more performance.

I was looking at the turbo kit on KFX.

What are the pros and cons of getting a turbo for my car?

Besides the kit and the turbo would I have to get any other mods to work with it?

I dont know squat about cars but is it possible to have a CAI and a turbo?

Thanks for helping a noob...

Yes you can have a cold air intake on a turbo but it is not quite the same.. But by the sounds of it you should do some more research on turbo setups and Kia engines in general.. Check out StreetKiaz and read up as much as you can. There are alot of turbo tech threads there..

First off if you decide to get a turbo for the RIO keep in mind the cam shafts on the 1.6L are notorious for snapping at high RPM's....I would look into beefing these up first before making the investment...additionally I would get a beefed up head gasket, stock these things will leak with an 80 year old driver topping out at 25mph( 40.2KPH)

If you make these changes you should be able to install a turbo with limited problems for about a month or so;)
