Hi all.

Hot myself a 2008 rio diesel. Very nice and cheap little car, but the bite point on the clutch is nearly at max depression of the clutch

I've had a look around and it could be because the clutch slave cylinder needs bleeding.

I'm pretty ok with doing oil services but never bled anything. I understand that I need to open the bleed bit on the cylinder and get someone to press the clutch a few times until it's just hydraulic fluid coming out rather than air. Like a radiator in a house for example.

But, as this the brakes use the same system, do all those need bleeding too?

And am I ok to just top up the master fluid cylinder after the bleeding?

Or even am I looking at the wrong thing completely to solve the low biting point?

Many thanks in advance

mine its 1.4 2010 Gasoline Mt
the clutch get heavier, when reach 90K KM (2018). making the lower master Cylinder rubber wear out rapidly.
I decide to get All of Set Clutch Parts change, when reach 120 KM, since its getting more heavy to press the Clutch .
Now its feel light as feather pillow... hhhhh

Check the Oil Clutch reservoir, if its dark by Rubber Seal degraded better change it.
if your millage pretty high, better Change the Clutch SET.
