I have a kia rio 2001, it was running fine when suddenly it started having a weird behavior. At idle it revs normally but if I push the throttle a little bit it revs down to the point the it stops. If I push the throttle a bit more the engine revs up and down as if was pushing the throttle and releasing it. And if i push it futher down it revs normally. It has no check engine light so i don't know if the scanner will pick up any errors. A friend of mine told me it could be the MAF sensor but i don't want to buy it if is not actually that whats wrong with my car.

Thanks in advance! :D

PS: Sorry for any english mistakes, it's not my native language hehe.

Maybe a throttle posisition sensor or maf. Put a scanner/monitor on it and monitor the conditions of both plus other things i think the regular scanners only let you look at 16 inputs so your limited with OBD2 scanning when you have the issue, it may help. Good luck, Regiard's ronjohn
