Does anyone know how to access and remove the windshield-washer tank for a 2005 Kia Rio? I need to remove some possible contaminants in the tank.

As is customary, kiatechinfo does not provide any information on this procedure (that I could find).

It should only be a couple of bolt's and the pump electrical connection and hose to remove it at least that's how my 02 comes out

How do you access it? Bumper? Wheel well? Is there a manual with diagrams in it?

If you remove the right front tire it make this easy. Remove the screws in the inner fender liner and the washer reservoir will be right there.

Take some rubber tubing and shove it all the way to bottom and use a wet vac to suck the gunk out. Throw more water and soap as needed to get it all rinsed out. I wouldn't take that thing out unless all else fails. I have even used 2 tubes before (many years ago) forcing water down one while vacuuming on the other to get stuff out of hard to reach places. Kiatechinfo.com ought to show some idea for removal if it comes to that. Good luck.
