Yes, but integrated with the brake pedal. There aren’t separate paddles, or anything.

 

I'd imagine the PHEV will have regen via paddles, but the HEV uses them for gear changes. Every hybrid has regen, but most are only controlled by the brake pedal.

 

All Hybrids (AKA HEVs) have regenerative breaking. It is the ONLY way to charge the battery as they don't plug in.

 

Well, not exactly. The engine will also charge a hybrid battery. If the hybrid relied only on regenerative braking for recharging it would never recharge on a long distance highway cruise.

 

I know for a fact that the Tucson PHEV does NOT have regen paddles. Should be same w/Sportage PHEV (same car, different "skin"!) Perhaps the very lucky few in this forum that have received a Sportage PHEV could chime in?...

Would be cool if it did!

 

No regen paddles, paddle shifters.
I wish it did instead of the shifters, something I’ll never use.
