Can anyone report back what and where their delivery times have been in Canada? Currently waiting for an SX model in Blue.

Well got crappy news today... My PHEV EX+ ordered in October , that was supposed to arrive in February, that was first pushed back between may and July is now pushed back again to October... I am not holding my breath on that date and will probably cancel the order... Kia is telling me too much bullshit for me to throw money at them.

The sad thing is if I wasn't the one calling them I would never know. And now they don't even know how much it's going to cost me since my price was valid for 3 months when I bought it. Combined with the government lowering the incentives, this deal is getting worse all the time.
I have to check to see if my price is only good for 3 months.

I agree though all my kia dealer info comes because I text or call them. Have yet to get an update that I didn't have to pry out of them.

Wow, this is crazy. You must have been amongst the first group to order, if it was back in October, and it's still turning into a year+ wait? I was going to place an order but this makes it almost seem pointless now if it's going to be the latter half of 2023 before we get it.
Just saw a post from Kia/Hyundai Channel of Brantford -- apparently they are not taking any more orders for the EV6 and the Sorento PHEV as they have been fully sold out. anyone confirm?
Ordered back in November, sorrento phev ex two colour choices, no vin no info
I ordered the Sorento PHEV in November 2021, but from the looks of it I might not get it until November 2022 LOL. a whole years wait...

Interesting chart. We just placed an order April 1 2022. We were told March 2023 for delivery.
Need to make sure my price is locked in, but that chart is depressing.
Noticing black exterior phev's on kijiji, 3 in ont, one BC, Last Quebec came up in the last week or so. Like I said before, the dealers software puts the ad up automatically when it is incoming, my guess is they are spoken for, but reaching out to the dealers if close and in need might produce something. Just throwing it out there
So we ordered ours April 1. April 1 Kia stopped taking orders. My dealer tells me they're trying to squeeze my order in but I have no updates from them as of today. Even if they squeeze my order in, I have concerns that their March 1, 2023 deliver date is going to be delayed well into 2023....
I called two or three of those dealers in Ontario showing PHEV Sorento's maybe 6 weeks back, and they basically are just using those as ads for the model - they seem to have nothing to do with actual inventory

Yea, they're typically just test drive vehicles/software to keep promoting it.

At one point my wife and I thought of switching to a Hyundai Santa Fe that we saw on those postings cause we were tired of waiting. Long story short, it ended up being a test drive vehicle that wasn't for sale, but more of a bait and hook to get your foot in the door to place a reservation since they literally had zero inventory coming in to the dealer. Times are rough for them right now.

I didnt even think they expected all these delays either for HEVs and PHEVs

[First Delay]

When I ordered the Sorento back in November I was told I would see it in the summer of '22 with a production date of May. fast forward two or three months after Christmas, I heard about the Kia production workers we're going to go on strike. -- Strike happened and threw a wrench into the first release of the production schedule issued back in December.

[After 2 months](Feb - March)

The Strike ended -- Union reached an agreement - They then issued a new Production schedule (April '22 one posted above) and surprise, surprise that May production date became September/Oct.
So my dealer confirmed that they were able to get the order through. But they won't give me a time line for delivery. Sometime late in 2023 we assume.

Crazy times.

One dealer had 3 black phev' with different stock numbers. Same dealer, Clarington Kia, seems odd to have 3 demos. Considering that I was told from the start that choosing multiple colors increased my chances of getting it sooner and one colour shows up to multiple dealers.

I have not seen any Canadian sorento phev's posted here, so seeing that on kijiji gives me hope somebody is getting something. My spot gets closer with every delivery that happens.
Contacted our dealer today looking for an update. According to their latest bulletin, our order (Feb.2) is due for a Dec./Jan. delivery after initially being told Sept.
Of course with all I'm seeing in the forum I'll be surprised if we see it in a year.
Ouch ordered mine here in Ontario January, Black X-Line. Did not get a clear answer, now being told to follow-up soon to see. I guess it is not happening in the near future?

Looks like the Sorento ex+ PHEV I ordered in Nov 2021 is really going to be about a year before I receive it but much more info here than from my local dealer and I do thank you for that. I wonder how it works since they gave me a trade-in value back in Nov on paper??? anyone else with this scenerio?
I was looking at the option of the Toyota Prime but it apparently has 1 to 1.5 year wait time and the dealer told me a couple of months on the PHEV Sorento. I guess too good to be true. lol

Ordered in October, my dealer had a fine print that price was valid 4 months, but at the time the delivery was supposed to be 3 months. Now I am looking at a year... I confirmed with them, a new price will have to be negotiated. The funny thing is my truck value was 31 000 in October, now I can sell it for 35 000. 35 000 is what other dealers were offering me for it in the last two weeks.

So if the current vehicle shortage continues, they will have to give me more then they were giving me last year. But Kia's interest rate has gone up 0.5% and the government incentive (Quebec) here was lowered by 1500$ in the last budget so yeah...who knows what I will pay when I receive it.

Some dealers have started building their preorder list for the Equinox and Blazer EV so at least now I have a backup plan 😉
