The ride i the Sorento is sometimes harsh

the front is soft but I find the rear to be hard as nails!

I've heard that dropping the rear tyre pressures by 4psi helps this....

has anyone else noticed? or tried this fix?

You mean you dropped the tire pressure to what it's supposed to be at (driver's door jamb sticker) or dropped it 4 psi from there?

If you can get hold a copy of 4X4 Australia November 2004 issue it had a great article on the Sorento suspension. They took one EX and had a new suspension kit fitted by Old Man Emu (thats a ccompany that specialises in offroad suspension) and then did a comparison test with a standard EX.

It was astounding the difference that the kit made - it corrected all of the gripes about the rear end and improved front wheel travel and increased the on and off road handling substantially.

It sounded like money very well spent.
