Discussion Starter #1
Starting this 2000 Sportage has become like playing a slot machine with a key.
I have Good Battery Voltage.
I have cleaned/hooked up the negative grounding points and new battery connectors.
I have replaced the starter and main relays with KIA OEM relays. (they are yellow)

I turn they key and it will start right up sometimes.
Other times, I will turn they key and get a single Click.

After a few tries it will start.

The click sounds like it's coming from under the dash.

All the lights act normally on the instrument display panel, just sometimes it starts and sometimes clicks.

Is there an ignition switch relay under the dash somewhere?

I have read a few threads on this , but not a single one has a solution. :(

You can try diagnosing this a few different ways, but my first choice would be to try jumping the starter relay (bypassing the control side) immediately after getting a no-start (i.e. don't keep trying to start it with the key after getting the no-start). If jumping the relay does not turn the starter, then the starter or related wiring becomes the primary suspect. However, you also need to check for B+ on the always-hot side of the relay, in order for that testing to be valid.

You can also get a test light, connect it to the starter solenoid terminal coming from the relay, then clamp to ground. Do this with a no start. If test light comes on with a no start, and solenoid don't click, make sure solenoid is grounded good to starter and starter to block. If it clicks, make sure you have battery voltage at solenoid from battery. And see if you have battery voltage from solenoid to starter with key in crank position.
