I have a 2005 Sedona LX (without antilock brakes) and with winter coming on I wanted to add a little traction with some radial snow tires.

Since I am cheap I think I will only put the snow tires on the front wheels. What are your opinions??

I was also thinking of buying some steel wheels from the dealer on which to mount the tires.

Thanks for your advice in advance.

When ever I put snow tires on a vehicle I always put 4 on it becasue I have heard that its recommended to do it that way.

The van weighs a ton so I would think it should be fine on the front. I have the anti lock brakes and I used just the tires that came with it. Winter is terrible up here in the great white north and the van has been excellent. Mighty fine heater also :)

If you just put the snow tires in the front, the rear end will be more likely to come around on you in a skid. I don't even think a tire shop would do that because of the liability.
