My 2019 Sportage makes a faint pulsating, thumping noise from "somewhere" clearly audible at around 40mph on a very smooth road surface. It's not noticeable at higher speeds or at very low speeds. Tires are OEM at 25000 miles and the noise synchs with the RPM of the wheels. No vibrations are evident, wheels are balanced, and tires look good with a visible check. Anyone experience this or have any ideas? How can I isolate the cause? Thanks.

I had a 2018 Sportage SX that I bought pre owned with only 4800 miles on it. Wasn’t crazy about those tires and the ride as well as the noise. One day I was in for service and my salesman showed me a 2021 Sportage SX that was given out in error to the customer. VIN was wrong. She leased an LX. Anyways, I drove it and the Michelin tires that came on it were night and day. Couldn’t believe the difference. Bought the 2021 that day.
