Hello,

I have a 2005 kia sportage lx, 2.7L V6 engine and i would like to know the procedure on how to check for vacuum leaks':eek:'....Also, Is there a way to tune down the idling on our kia truck's:confused:. Thank's and i really appreciate everyone's time;)

Idle is electronically controlled. You can't wind it down.

Have a look at this site New Tiburon Forum : Hyundai Tiburon Forums and do a search for vacuum leak. There are a number of ways to do it.

One way is with a can of aerostart (contact cleaner or any other atomised metho like cleaner) and spray it around the areas a little bit at a time, listening for a change in idle rpm - most likely going up.

First up, check all your connections and clamps. Also ensure all manifold bolts are tight.

I'll definitely take a look into the new hyundai Tiburon forums and try your method in finding my vacuum leaks...
