I have put in a sound system in my '02 spectra. I have two 10" subs each with a 200 watt amp enclosed in a dual bandpass sub box. All the factory speakers have been replaced by pioneer speakers. When I turn the system up loud, I get some popping and cracking noises from my subs. What is the problem?

I thought the problem was not having a constant power supply. I bought an Audiobahn capacitor but that hasn't helped.

I doubt its blown, seems impossible. Each sub is rated 300 watts max (100 RMS) and each amp rated 200 watts each (50 RMS). I did a little research on it and found that I may need a ground loop isolater and/or a crossover.

I had a friend that is opening his own car audio business listen to it, he said it sounds like a short to a speaker. After listening to it closer, I think I agree with him.
