I know I've seen this discussed on here before but how many people are having issues with blackout trim my neighbor has a Honda that is 5 years old and his blackout trim doesn't peel. I have 1400 miles on my Sorento SXP. I have three different spots on the car that are peeling.

Yes, I've seen this before. I can only assume that this occurs randomly, as I just replaced my original set of ventvisors last evening, and none of the cladding came off.

I just mentioned this to my dealer on Monday when I dropped my car off for the over-sensitive traction control issue. They ordered the trim pieces and it is covered under my warranty. The first time I noticed this, I caused it by peeling painter's tape off the trim because I was waxing the car. then I noticed it on the "shark fin" that faces the engine, I believe the wind blew it off.

Here is how mine looked before. The painter’s tape was masking a HyperDip attempt that did not go so well. They ended up replacing these two trim pieces. The rear glass and trim are apparently one piece and over $700 while the other is a removable under the rear passenger window.
