I haven't taken a picture of it yet, but I noticed I have paint missing where the hood of my car and the front fascia meets. It's in the crevice, but when I ran my finger across it, it peeled off very easily. This should be covered under warranty, right? I've only had my car for three months. I circled the area where the paint is peeling, it's not on the hood, but on the front plastic piece.

i would go to the dealer today to get it looked at. i'm sure it would be a warranty repair... but the longer you wait, the harder it could be...

I've noticed some adhesion issues when the paint meets the plastic. Could be a common problem with other manufacturers, but seems a little worse with KIA. Don't let the dealer tell you a rock chipped it. Once repaired, I'd get some 3M shield on there after the repair as this would "seal" the paint permenantly. I recall my last 2012 Kia had similar issues with premature paint adhesion issues on the bumper with normal wear. As if it almost wanted flake off when pebble stone hit. Not sure why this is so. I now have a 2013 and looking for a deal for 3m wrap on front and rear bumper. A paint specialist chiming in on this would be nice.

so frustrating! So do you guys think the MOC paint protection is worth it then? $995 for five years guaranteed bumper to bumper interior and exterior is covered.

Thoughts?

I worked mine into the deal for $595. I bought a 2012 Sonata in January (totalled now which is why I now have an Optima) and noticed EXACTLY what Server mentioned. Normal driving on roads that don't have rocks or anything and I was getting tons of chips and scratches within the first month... ugh... Shouldn't this stuff be warrantied if the paint / clear coat is going bad so quickly?
