If it is anything like the EV6, you have to download it first onto a hard drive, then transfer to a high capacity thumb frive, and you plug that into the USB-A port and update it via the car's menu. I have not experienced any OTA updates with my EV6 - I've done two manually, and the dealer has also done at least one.

You don't need to insert any media into the USB-A port for the OTA update to begin. It takes its sweet time though and will probably be finished in a couple of weeks.

I just checked and there is an update available. I downloaded it onto my hard drive and transferred it onto a large capacity USB drive - will install probably later today. I don’t think it is going to happen OTA, or I’m missing something.
