Hi, I just did an OBD check on my car and it showed 2 faults, knock sensors on both bank1 and bank2 would these need replacing? the car is a 2003 2.5 v6 (UK spec), the car seems to run ok apart from the appalling fuel consumption BUT in hindsight it doesn't seem as 'peppy' as a 2001 V6 that I owned a few years ago? maybe it's just my imagination?
Any Ideas ?

If the knock sensors are bad, that IS your bad mileage problem. Knock sensors retard the timming when they sense engine knocking/detonation.

Thanks for the input COBRA, it gives me a direction to work in, as I stated the car's nice but it just doesn't seem as willing as the '01 model that I prevoiusly owned, will update when I sort it out
