Maybe in neutral... but it might not work either.
I am sure they are also a speed controlled, so if the vehicle is moving, doors will refuse to open.
For example, in my 2009 Elantra I would not be able to open trunk (it was electric release) until car completely stopped. Even a sudden stop would not work - I had to wait for the speedo arm to rest for at least 0.5 second.
The doors can't be opened in drive for safety reasons and bypassing would require some wiring that will surely void warranties.
You can put the vehicle in drive with the doors open and then close them while moving slowly
Otherwise you'll just have to shut the power doors off with the button and use them as manual doors for all your kidnapping/bank robbing needs
