I just want to ask for the others out there following this and who have not yet removed the cover to take a look and see in person all the things talked about. I hope I'm reading this correct and you are saying that the three orange rubber parts with a hole in the middle are the issue and so far you believe the fix is to remove them, clean them from time to time or change out the cover to something that might have a slightly different design?

Yes the orange rubber plugs are the issue. I'm still not sure what causes them to stop allowing oil to drain out of the baffles. Whether they are swollen, hardened or gummed up. Either way removing them or replacing the valve cover should fix the problem... Provided you don't have stuck piston rings causing your issue in the first place.
LOL, that might not be good either. Well see if the replace the short block under warranty.
I want to thank you very much for all the work that you have done and the so many hours of testing so we can all benefit from this work.

Again I want to say thank you for all the time it has taken and to post all here.
When you removed the plugs, did they seem or feel anything other than normal for they type of plug? If the issue is some additive in the oil, I would think they would have a different feel to them.
I'm thinking about a reconditioning of the rubber. What would you think, possible? Feasible?

Honestly they aren't worth trying to save. Just get rid of them. Im starting to think they were designed to fail. Putting my tinfoil hat on here, but companies have been purposely designing products to fail in an attempt to sell new products for decades now.
It was my understanding there were not replacements to be had. And without them there was more vapers in the cabin.
