I noticed that when my car shifts/accelerates I hear a noise that sounds like something is stuck in a vacuum cleaner. It happens after acceleration, like moving after stopping or going into drive after reverse. I did not notice it at first but now it seems like that’s all I hear. I have only had the car 9 weeks and it only had 22 miles on it so I’m praying I don’t have a major issue!

Try to capture an audio clip with your smart phone.
Play it back for the service manager at the dealership, and the mechanic.
Go out with the mechanic or svc manager for a test ride and try to duplicate the issue.
Good Luck! Let us know how you make out!

It’s common with all Sorento .. that’s what I been told by my dealer. It feels it’s looking for gear n jerks a bit when it finds it. I been told it’s normal. But since u got it just few weeks back. Go back and make a fuss about it may be they will be able to fix it with software update.
