i was driving my spectra one day and it randomly died i went to start it and it didnt fire. so i turned the ignition again to listen to the fuel pump humm and it didnt make a sound. i replaced the fuel pump and still nothing. has anyone had something like this happen? i checked the relay fuse too. is there something im missing? does the oil pressure switch have something to do with it like some cars? i know i havent added oil in 4 months only because my dip stick says its still full. or anything else that controls the pump??? please help.

Have you checked the plugs on the pump to make sure you hooked them back up?are the plugs intact?
What have you tested? Or have you just "listened"?
Is the pump getting power? You will have to test it with a tester.
