I need a little direction on this problem. Tachs out a 4k then dies. One of the coil packs went bad, put in another and it went bad (no spark). Tach quit working so I replaced the ignition fault sensor and another coil pack and cleared the codes. Tach now works and am getting spark again at the replaced coil but stalls at 4k rpm and runs rough...won't go above 40mph. Replaced the spark plugs and it made no difference (the old ones appeared fouled with alot of soot.
I checked the harness and the trouble shot the ig fault sensor plug. smells of ga s inside the van as well. Could it be the ecu? forgot to mention that the 1st replaced coil quit sparking after only 5 minutes of running...became very hot and failed. Any input/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Sorry, it is a 2003 sedona with 104,000 miles. Past history only includes a timing belt replacement about 6 thousand miles ago.
