Hi all,
I recently bought a 2012 Sorento LX from Kia of Puyallup. Good experience.
Right now I'm working on making it ready to tow a small pop-up trailer. I installed the hitch and wiring harness, and I'm working on the brake controller and wiring to charge the trailer battery. It's sort of tight under the dash and there doesn't seem to be a handy grommet to feed a wire through the firewall. Hate to drill a hole but it looks like I'm going to have to do that.
The other mod I'm considering is raising the passenger seat enough so that my vertically-challenged wife doesn't feel like she's sitting down in a hole. In all previous vehicles a cushion worked just fine, but in the Sorento using a cushion seems to turn off the air bags. Does anyone have a workaround?
Thanks. I've enjoyed working my way through the posts on the Sorento forum - some useful stuff there.
