So I ended up somehow getting the end of a saber saw blade in my tire very close to the sidewall of course. So I was thinking about getting snow tires and wheel anyways but shit. So I bought 4 new Michelin cross climate 2 tires and will see how well they do in the snow. Only had 3500 miles on tires

I just replace all four of mine with Goodyear Assurance Weather Ready tires. I had Goodyear Assurance on 2011 Serento and 2000 Pontiac Montana. Ride was smooth and quite, and never had a problem with snow. Had the Montana when I live in western Ohio 20 years ago. Then moved to eastern Tennessee to the mountains. Last year had 6 inches of snow here on the mountain which was packed to inch thick ice by the next morning, the Serento climbed it just fine. Sevier County only uses minimal salt here.
Putting the Hankooks online to sell. Did not like the ride of those.

I just bought the same for my 16 Sorento. They seem to be very highly rated so we'll see what they're like. I never really had issues with all seasons and AWD anyway. They told me there is no difference between the H and the V other than rating? Price was the same so I told them I want the higher speed rating. Now I can safely go 149mph! Bahahaha!

When you buy a new car the first place you should stop on the way home is Discount tire. You can buy the tire warranty on them because it's a new car and new tires. Well worth the cost and you are treated just like you bought your tires there with free rotate and balance and road hazard.

I had a tire damaged on a road trip and had it repaired. When discount looked it over they decided to replace the tire and all it cost me was the ~$25 for the warranty on the new tire. A few weeks ago I replaced all 4 of the Kumho noisy tires with new Yokohamas. I bought another rim from a junk yard so now I have a full width full speed spare so when I get stuck in Louisiana where they won't fix a tire unless they sold it to you I now have a real spare.
So far the Yokohamas are very nice. Michelin makes a good tire but they aren't worth the extra 30% branding tax on them.

I guess this is why I personally, wouldn't buy a warranty on factory tires, cause usually, the tires that come from the factory are not ones I would choose anyways. Where I live we get snow and heat so, I like to get very good all-season or now all-weather tires or else get dedicated winter tires.
